The inaugural Glenrothes Inter-school Cricket Festival was held on a beautiful sunny day at the Riverside Park, home of Glenrothes Cricket Club.
Eight local primary schools took part and the final was contested by Star and Carleton Primary Schools, the latter eventually turning out to be the victors.
A great day was had by all, and thanks go to Active Schools, ASDA for supplying refreshments and coaches Steve Rowley and Robert Hutchison for organising this new annual event.
Pictured are Steve, Robert and the winning school children from Carleton with their trophy.
If you're keen to give cricket a try then Glenrothes Gladiators offer FREE lessons for boys and girls (age 4+) at the Riverside Park (near ASDA) every Tuesday and Friday from 6pm. Everyone welcome and all equipment provided by the club.
