We are staring up a new club "community" within WhatsApp, to bring together the various chat groups connected to the club under one place.

The embedded screenshot gives you an idea what this will look like.

• "Announcements" are pushed out by admins of the community, so critical whole-club communications basically.
• The "MANAGEMENT Committee" and "SELECTION Committee" groups are for the club officials to manage the day to day running of the club.
• There are then four "Action Groups", where we are asking players, members and volunteers to get involved and help shape our plans and priorities.

The Cricket group will need to discuss coaching priorities including whether we can have grass-wicket training.

The Operations group will then need to think if they can prepare and repair enough grass wickets, though they will also be having a far more important debate about home made v shop bought teas.

Our Membership group will probably want to look at upcoming social events and how these can be better engaged across the club.

Then we have the Planning group who want to start looking at fundraising opportunities to ensure we can pay our way!

Our existing groups will be migrated to the GCC Community in the coming days and everyone can then either apply to join one of the action groups or be assigned automatically!
