It's been a funny summer, with what has felt like non-stop rain at times, but cancellations because of rain have been rare.

The 2nd XI made it to Forfar on Sunday for the 12pm start, with conditions reasonable but with Kinloch 3rd XI players still in Dundee fearing the rain might actually come the dry conditions soon came and went.

The players got through a good warm-up but that was as much cricket action as we were able to get. Match cancelled.

Good to get teas with the Kinloch team though, and for some of us watch some of The Gruffalo too.
